WHY ARE NEWSLETTERS IMPORTANT?
There are so many reasons to send out newsletters to your customers. If you are not incorporating this step into your business practice you may be missing the mark. I'll tackle a few of the important reasons why we say this.
First off, it will be one of the first impressions your newer customers have of your business. Newsletters are a way to show your customers who you are. This piece of content is not something we recommend using as a way to sell. It is more of a way to be informative, recognize employee achievements, highlight new customers success.
Think of newsletters as something that allows your customers to connect to you and your business.
Secondly, it allows your customers to get to know you and your business. So what kinds of content is best to add to a newsletter?
We tend to follow the well-known Pareto principle or 80/20 rule: 80 percent of the content we send is informative and educational. The rest spotlights a new feature or reminds subscribers about a service they haven't used in a while. But even when we do the latter, those emails still read like the others, meaning:
they address a common pain point and its consequences,
then we lead the readers to ways of solving that challenge,
and we close with a call-to-action for them to visit a specific landing page.
And Lastly, it is a way of staying connected on a consistent basis.
